Minecraft: Story Mode Recreation Collection From Telltale, Mojang

Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Game Sequence is an episodic, narrative-pushed game sequence based in Minecraft's blocky world, coming in 2015 to Pc, Mac, cellular gadgets and what Mojang calls "Xbox consoles" and "PlayStation consoles." We've reached out to Telltale for clarification on platforms.

The sport has an original storyline that is influenced by the alternatives players make, similar to Telltale's different offerings, Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones, The Wolf Among Us and The Strolling Dead. "Telltale's game sequence will combine new characters with familiar themes, in a wholly authentic Minecraft experience, impressed by the Minecraft community and the sport that continues to inspire a technology," Telltale writes.

Mojang gives a bit of extra element about its approach to story on its blog: "We're not intending on creating an 'official' story for Steve, or explaining the world of Minecraft intimately.  Games  is going to be a cool recreation."

Mojang revealed the collaboration with a mini-sport called Info Quest 2 (which is fairly adorable). Microsoft accomplished a $2.5 billion acquisition of Mojang in November.
